When it's time for professional help to make things go faster
Overview & FAQ
4 Summary Options
The Summary Section is the heart of your profile. Consider it a mini-resume that tells the reader who you are, what are your highlights, strengths, preferences and your special contributions so far. From there, the reader should be drawn in and curious to read further about you – enticed to scroll down further to read about your Work Experience, Skills & Expertise, Projects, Awards, Memberships, or be curious about what Media you offer or who you Follow.
I’ll create a new summary that’s customized for you - with fresh, high impact content (up to 2000 characters), including past highlights, talents, skills with backup evidence - or a roadmap / blueprint of your target direction / present situation - or throw in some storytelling about the unique aspects along your career journey & personal development path.
I will create an effective summary for you, including for situations such as these:
-
You’ve only worked at smaller companies or on smaller projects
-
You don’t have a ton of statistics or ‘impressive figures’ to offer
-
You aren’t a high flyer and you don’t want to be - but you don’t want to hide your talents, positive attitude and abilities in the basement, either.
-
You have what you consider an unusual career path
-
You work in a ‘non-business-y’ industry, but you still want a professional business profile
-
Your activities are very diverse – and your summary needs more focus on your target area
-
You are actively looking for a new position - you have clear job search targets
-
You are currently employed but want to keep your search a 'secret' (not make it obvious to your current company or contacts that you're searching)
Summary with Storytelling
Your new profile will have more focus. After all, you’re not trying to be ‘all things to everybody’ or a ‘jack of all trades’ – you’re a specialist with unique talents, personality, energy, commitment and success in your field. Your new profile will shine the spotlight on exactly what you want.

Overview of Profile Components
Headshot: The professional-looking circular photo at the top of your profile.
What I Do for You Here: I provide you feedback on your headshot; or I select the most suitable among several headshots you have available.
Background Photo: Also known as the header, cover, banner or background graphic. Instead of using the standard blue cover that comes with every profile, use a custom image that suits your personality and career path.
What I Do for You Here: All packages include a small bundle of background photos for you. You will receive 2-5 suitable backgrounds for your profile (Basic=2, Medium=5, Premium=10). CareerLove also offers larger background photo bundles here.
Headline: The headline appears in the second position after your name. The maximum character length is 120 (including spaces). The headline should be high-impact and interesting.
What I Do for You Here: I will create a descriptive, original, keyword-rich headline for you.
Summary Section: After your picture and top section content (headline and job title), this is the second thing people see about you. With a 2000 character maximum length, it’s the most important section for you to make a quick, positive and high-impact impression on your readers. Within seconds, visitors, recruiters, hiring managers and your network contacts will get an impression about who you are, your mindset and what you offer the market.
What I Do for You Here: I create original, compelling content for your summary section (4 summary options available)
Work Experience Section: This section describes your current and past jobs with the aim of summarizing just the highlights and your special contributions in an original and compelling way, also including relevant industry jargon and special terminology. This section may look and feel most like your resume, yet the art of a good Work Experience section is not just ‘copying and pasting’ from your resume, but should include a blend of bullet points and descriptive sentences. As a freelancer, entrepreneur or creative, your Work Experience sections can be used much more creatively to shape your readers' experience.
What I Do for You Here: I optimize the most important Work Experience descriptions and job titles in your profile, all customized for your situation.
Skills & Expertise: You can list up to 50 skills and areas of expertise.
What I Do for You Here: I will suggest some key skills for you to add, including industry jargon and terminology
Other Key Sections: Other key LinkedIn sections that we may include are sub-sections found under the Accomplishments Section. These sections are very helpful for the 'Additional Content' module.
Projects: A highly useful and informative section that covers your highlights and expands on your activities mentioned in the Summary, Job Experience or Volunteer Section
Publications: If relevant to your situation, the Publications section can be used in a very powerful way to position yourself.
Other sections that we may include:
Interests: This can include companies and organizations, influencers, groups and schools you’re interested in. Definitely recommended for you to populate with some good selections (I will include some suggestions).
Volunteer Work
This is a key section that reflects your values and should be included. Content about your volunteer work can appear in various sections, with different wording and emphasis.
What I Do for You Here: Highlights from some of these other key sections will also play a role in your new profile. For the packages and modules which include longer content development, I will create relevant, optimized content to match your situation.
Other sections within the Accomplishment sub-sections which may be important for your profile:
-
Honors & Awards
-
Certifications
-
Patents
-
Test Scores
-
Organizations
-
Courses
-
Languages
(How the content for these sections shows up on LinkedIn: Alphabetical / chronological order; if no date is provided, it will display at the bottom of your profile)
Media: It’s highly recommended to add images, links, screenshots and multimedia files to your LinkedIn profile.
What I Do for You Here: I will create new and original graphics for your profile that suit your business niche (the number of media created depends on the package / module booked). Original media involves text-over-graphics sized for direct upload to LinkedIn. I`ll also recommend additional types of media you may have in your archives and never thought of using.
